What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup, also known as permanent cosmetics, micro-pigmentation and/or medical or cosmetic tattooing The application of permanent makeup is similar to a tattoo procedure; this is a process using clean, sterile, disposable needles to deposit a color pigment into the skin. Methods of application vary depending on area of procedure, and desired final result. Aesthetic Electrolysis & Skin Care Center utilizes only the finest pigments available including state-of-the-art computerized equipment, which ensures a faster and more comfortable procedure.
Permanent lip, eye, and eyebrow makeup are the most common; however, cosmetic tattooing can also be used to redefine weak facial features and camouflage scars on any part of the body. Our certified technicians are skilled in many techniques including 3-Dimensional "hair strokes" which is commonly used in eyebrows to give it a more natural look.

Is it Really Permanent?Yes it is. Due to the natural shedding of skin in the facial area color may fade slightly over time but should never disappear. Minor touch ups may be required and is not uncommon for optimum results.
How is Permanent Makeup Applied? There are three distinct methods of permanent makeup application utilized today. Hand-tapped, Rotary/Coil machines, state-of-the-art digital and computerized equipment.
Hand-tapped, as the name suggests, is all done by hand. This is a much slower method & usually causes uneven lines & pigment application. Rotary/Coil machines are the most utilized today, also known as the common tattoo gun. This is a better method over the hand-tapped process, however, this machine can be inconsistent & occasionally unstable. Digital & Computerized equipment are state-of-the-art, most advanced methods available. The main advantage is that this equipment is more stabilized, creating a beautiful and more comfortable procedure! Schedule a consultation today, and see how permanent cosmetics can work for you!
