What will training cost?
Permanent Makeup is a very lucrative career requiring only a small investment of your time and money. We can show you how quickly the return can be on your investment. There are very few other professions that requires so little upfront; yet is able to yield such a tremendous return. Your initial investment of $4,500.00 includes our Fundamentals of Permanent Cosmetics; Introduction 101 training course; which includes your initial OSHA certification in Bloodborne Pathogens (if you do not already have one), a startup supply kit- including all necessary books/manuals/business & client forms... etc. (machine(s) sold separately, but at special discounted rate for students) & a Certificate of Completion when successfully completed/passed (that will allow you to join associations and will make you eligible to get insurance in your field. This course usually takes @ 100 hours total split up between theoretical (which many hours may be taken online if you prefer) and practical, which is one-on-one in the classroom. This will also get your portfolio started, so remember to bring a camera to capture your procedures you do. If you need additional time outside of our normal scheduled classes or over the allotted 100 hours, there may be an additional fee that is determined after we review your circumstances. It is very important that you communicate with the instructor or the education coordinator, Heather Culver, as soon as you can and by any stated deadlines. If you need any special considerations (i.e. weekends or evenings only... please call so we can do our best to accommodate your needs.)

Due to the demand and small size of our classes, students receive specialized individual attention literally almost ensuring every student's success! Aesthetic Skin Care Training Center is dedicated to our students successful completion of our course and advancement into our advanced continuing education opportunities. We give all of our graduates $300 off any advanced courses signed up within one (1) year of initial graduation of this course. (Advanced courses include: Advanced Permanent Makeup Techniques, Collagen Induction Therapy/Skin Needling and Tattoo Removal. ($1,200 Regular Price... Graduates pay only $900 within one year of initial graduation of the Fundamentals Course). OR take ALL courses offered (Fundamentals of Permanent Makeup, Advanced Permanent Makeup Techniques, Collagen Induction Therapy & Tattoo Removal) for a discounted rate of $6,600 FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE 2016. What will Aesthetic Skin Care Training Center provide?
- Manual: An in-depth, training manual that gives you the pertinent and necessary information required for your new career. In addition, a folder of learning material that is exclusive to Aesthetic Skin Care Training Center. If you are provided with your manual prior to your training, please bring it with you to class, otherwise, you will be given your manual on the first day of class.
- Pigments: Pigments will be provided along with detailed, instructional color charts.
- Equipment: All supplies used during the class will be provided with the exception of a camera. (Each student is expected to bring a camera).
- Models: Aesthetic Skin Care Training Center provides live models for trainees to perform procedures. Procedures include one (1) brow, lip liner and eyeliner application.
- Certificate: Upon satisfactory completion of the course, trainees will receive a certificate of completion. Which not only qualifies you to perform permanent cosmetic procedures in eyebrows, eyeliner and lip liner; it also qualifies you for insurance coverage.
- Meals: Lunch, refreshments and snacks will be provided.
What will I need to bring with me?
- Class Attire: We request student's attire be business casual or medical and that students wear comfortable closed-toe shoes (sneakers and scrubs are fine). Lab coats and scrubs are available for purchase, please inquire if you are interested.
- Manual: (If previously mailed to you). Otherwise, one will be provided on the first day of class.
- Bloodborne Pathogen Certificate: please bring valid certificate if you have already completed online prior to class. If you have not completed prior to class you will have a chance to complete in class.
- Notebook and Pen: You will want to take notes.
- Camera: Students are required to begin cataloging before and after pictures (preferably with a camera with a macro setting for closeup shots). If you do not have a camera, phone camera or iPad will be fine. Aesthetic Skin Care Training Center does not provide you with these photographs unless you make prior arrangements and pay an additional fee.
What will I learn?
- Sanitation & Sterilization: Learn standard precautions, OSHA requirements, cross-contamination, all appropriate procedures, methods and techniques.
- Makeup Application & Facial Morphology: Learn how to identify facial shapes and characteristics of each feature. Acquire the knowledge to create the ideal and appropriate shape and placement of eyebrows, eyeliner, lash enhancement and lip liner.
- Anatomy of the Eye: Learn the anatomy of the eye, eyelids and the areas that are safe for tattooing and those that are not, and why. Learn safe tattooing techniques that enhance and flatter the shape of each individual's eyes.
- Skin & Skin Disorders: Learn how pigment is placed into the skin and where. Learn about possible skin disorders, scar tissue, textures and tones, aging, elasticity, and how all of these factors may affect the ultimate healed results.
- Client Initial Consultation(s)/Informed Consent to Treatment: Learn how to properly evaluate a client prior to treatment and/or service(s). Witness how a thorough consultation is performed when live models are scheduled so the trainee can observe the instructor during the initial consultation. Identifying areas that require medical clearance prior to micro-pigmentation. Application of cosmetic rules regarding shape and color for the client are explained as well as evaluating the client's expectations of the procedure(s).
- Patient/Client Management: Learn the importance of consultation, communication skills, ethics, health history and identifying personality problems and how to handle unrealistic expectations.
- Hands-On Exercises and Demonstrations: Observe and perform eyebrow, eyeliner and lip liner procedures. Learn appropriate selection of pigment type, color(s), use of extremely effective (OTC) topical anesthetics for client comfort. Other exercises include: observance of instructor's techniques and form while doing procedures, proper positioning of technician's body (especially arm and hand), proper positioning of client and correct use of machine for a safe, smooth and beautiful application.
- Pre/Post Treatment: Instructing clients on how to prepare for their procedures as well as how to care for them. Proper instructions promote the best color retention and help prevent complications when the importance of aftercare is explained to client.
- Equipment and Supplies: Learn appropriate selection of needle size/type for various effects. Determine how to select the speed and depth of equipment. Learn about pigments, ingredients and even importance of their molecular structure to the outcome of the procedure.
- Extensive Color Theory: Color theory made EASY! Learn how to apply color with confidence. Learn how intra-dermal color behaves in permanent makeup compared to body art tattooing. Learn how to alter and correct color, since there is so much permanent makeup already done that requires correcting or adjustment.
- Marketing and Business: Aesthetic Skin Care Training Center offers one of the most comprehensive, step-by-step marketing/business plan models. Details of how to do it yourself FREE and INEXPENSIVE marketing! Sample letters to medical practices and salons included to help promote and/or introduce yourself and your services. Also included: Social Media tips, how to create and host a website, etc.
